FREE Summit County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, September 29, at the Canyons parking lot. One of our primary goals is to keep toxic chemicals and heavy metals out of our environment. When toxic materials like mercury, lead, and pesticides end up in the landfill they leach into the ground and into your drinking water. 9 AM – 1 PM for residents. NO businesses. The 8th Annual Harvest Festival will be Saturday, October 6, from noon – 5pm at the High Star Ranch in Kamas. The festival is free and open to the public. There will be dozens of vendors selling a dazzling array of local goods; you’re bound to admire the character, flavor, and creativity of the area! Save yourself a trip to the landfill and take advantage of Dumpster Days! Fall Dumpster Days at Recycle Utah will be held September 27, 28, 29 October 25, 26, 27 9am-4pm Two large bins will be placed on Woodbine Way for garbage and yard waste. Residential waste only! No hazardous waste, mattresses, refrigerators, tires or business waste will be accepted. And, as always donations are appreciated.
