• Check with hardware stores like Home Depot or your electric company about recycling old holiday lights.

• Check with your local municipality about Christmas Tree Mulching. Remember that while a fake tree may last multiple years, they are nearly impossible to recycling and will eventually end up in the landfill. Real trees have been creating oxygen and fixing nutrients into the soil throughout their lives, and are compostable when you no longer need them.
