Recycling Centers

There are three decisions to make about your Recycling Center.

Will guests commingle their recyclables? If your answer is yes, then housekeeping and maintenance staff are responsible for sorting materials in a recycling center behind the scenes. All haulers in Summit County require that material be sorted prior to pickup.

Will guests sort their recyclables? Most hotels and resort condominiums have a self-service recycling center where guests can sort their own recyclables. This is the least expensive way to establish an effective guest recycling program.

Will you self-transport material to Recycle Utah or will you hire a hauler? Recycle Utah offers free drop-off where your staff can self transport and drop off sorted materials.
