Recycle Utah accepts all cell phones and accessories in the office.
Did you know?
- Cell phones contain toxic materials such as mercury, cadmium, lead and gallium arsenide which degrades into arsenic.
- When disposed in the landfill, these heavy metals eventually leach into the water supply and harm fish, wildlife and humans.
- Globally, about 100 million phones will be retired this year.
Where do they go?
Your recycled cell phone will be sent to a processing plant for de-manufacturing. Plastics and metals will then be recycled.
