Prescription & Over-the-Counter Medicines

Never flush prescription medications down the toilet or sink because they greatly affect water quality.

Bring your out-of-date prescription medicines to Recycle Utah’s biannual Hazardous Material Collection Days in the spring and fall.

Or, call Summit County Department of Public Works at 615-3970 to determine if the medicines will be accepted at the Three Mile Canyon landfill. 

Or,  wrap medicines in their original containers tightly in aluminum foil and throw them into your trash.
