Household Grease
Recycle Utah collects household grease. Residents can pour or scoop used cooking oil, bacon grease and other household fats into a 55 gallon drum located next to the cardboard compactor at Recycle Utah’s main center,1951 Woodbine Way.
All grease collected will be used in the manufacturer of biodiesel fuel.
Residents should not pour grease down the drain into the sewer system or septic tank. The Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District cautions that improper disposal of household fats can harm the water supply and home sanitation systems.
