Food Chain Gangs
The Food Chain Gangs - Solar Matters activity is a fun game that teaches students how living and non-living things interact while they learn about re-using and conserving natural resources. The activity uses the basic principle of the food chain to explain how energy is transferred from the sun to living organisms and from one organism to the next. It introduces the idea of recycling water, nutrients and minerals and allows you to introduce non-living interrupters of food chains such as pollutants, insecticides and pesticides. This activity presents complex ideas and materials in an easy-to-understand, fun to play game.Utah Core Curriculum:
