Donating Items to The Warehouse

It’s wise to call the Center first to find out if your item will be accepted.
Make sure the stuff you're donating is in GOOD - REUSABLE CONDITION!!!
Recycle Utah cannot store all items due to space limitations in our warehouse.
Tax donation receipts are available. Just ask.
Contractors are especially urged to call ahead if they have a numerous items.

YES, PLEASE:

WOOD – 2 x 4s, 2 x 6, 2 x 8, 2 x 10, 2 x 12’ – always 3’ or longer

- Molding, casing, slating – 3 ‘ or longer

- Good, usable plywood

- Wafer board – 3’ square or larger

- 4 x 4, 4 x 6, 6 x 6, 6 x 8 – 3’ or longer

- Pressure treated lumber – 3’ or longer

- Full or half sheets of paneling

- For firewood bin: wood, no stain/no paint/no nails

- Re-useable pallets 40 x 48” anytime.

- Broken pallets – summer program only.

Plastic or metal gutters – half or full lengths only

Re-useable doors / windows / skylights

Roofing shingles – bundles only

Composite shake / shingles – bundles only

R-insulation – in original packaging

Roofing felt in partial or full rolls

Block / brick / stone / tile – in bundles or boxes

Hardwood flooring – in bundles only.

Any type of hardware – in buckets / boxes, incl. plumbing & electrical

Cabinets with doors & drawers – re-useable condition

Metal studs / framing material – 3’ or longer

Grout / cement – half bags or more

Fixtures / sinks / toilets / appliances – in working condition

Vinyl base / case or molding – 3’ or longer

Carpet runners or tack boards – boxed only

Particle board – min. 4 x 4’

Drywall or sheetrock – min. 4 x 4’

Visquine plastic sheeting – rolled up and clean only

Plastic construction fencing – rolled up only

Wire fencing – rolled up only

Ceiling fans, broken down / blades and hardware separate only

Electrical wiring in spools, coils, boxes only

Glass, mirrors, windows in frames only

Auto parts for Mixed Metal recycling only

PVC pine 4’ or longer & fittings. Clean. Summer program only.

NO refrigerators or cooling appliances, incl. air conditioners

NO lumber which is split / warped / or with nails or staples

NO vinyl or vertical blinds

NO carpeting / bedding / vinyl flooring

NO 55-gal drums which held toxins. Must go to landfill/HazMat

NO shower doors

NO glass sliding doors
