Car Seats
Recycle Utah collects used, out-dated child car seats
YEAR ROUND!
According to Geri Essen, Summit County Health Promotion Director, child car seats expire 6 years from the date of manufacturing. That means there's a lot of out-dated, un-safe car seats out there. Instead of throwing them away, bring them to Recycle Utah and we'll dismantle them and recycle the plastic, metal and straps. We have a "Child Car Seat Demolition Derby" every spring and fall to make sure that not only are we keeping children safe, but we're also keeping the landfills from filling up with plastics!
Since the start of our program in October 2008, we've collected and recycled more than 500 child car seats.
Call us at 435-649-9698 for more details.
